Harrogate Borough Council is preparing a Local Plan which identifies the land required to deliver the planned growth of at least 14,000 new homes for the district to 2035.

The Local Plan sets out the vision and strategy for development in the Borough and will be used to determine planning applications. Following a consultation event in summer 2017, the Council has produced a new version of its Local Plan and has decided that land near Green Hammerton is the most suitable location for a strategic growth area.

CEG organised a public consultation event to show how the proposals have evolved since the exhibition in July 2017.
